Community giving is and always has been a cornerstone of our company. Since 1946, Target has given 5 percent of our income – which today equals more than $3 million a week – to our communities. Our team members also give hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours in their local communities each year, making their neighborhoods safer, healthier places for everyone. We provide a variety of opportunities to help them get involved, from renovating elementary school libraries and donating food to the hungry, to responding to disasters and reading with students.
