Boston Community Leadership Academy is a pilot high school in the Boston Public School system, uniquely focused on preparing students to be both college ready and community leaders. To support our mission of community leadership, our students complete 100 hours of volunteering before graduation.

    BCLA Oxfam Donation for Philippines

    Thanks to the tireless efforts of student Trizia Mae Mallari and our Guidance Intern Emily Sichel, and the generosity of the entire BCLA community, a donation of $234.00 was made last Friday to Oxfam America for disaster relief in the Philippines. Our donation will be used to partially fund a shelter for displaced victims. Read More

    BCLA & Civics Day

    Congratulations to Adrian Piña, who won the "Changemaker of the year" award from Generation Citizen at the State House yesterday. He was recognized for his now almost two year commitment to the program, and for his unique level of patience and passion exemplified when working with youth. BCLA set a huge standard yesterday at Civics Day. Not only were we acknowledged for our teachers, but the leadership scholars blew the roof off with their presentations! Read More
